Episode 259:When the GM is Wrong, Gaming Perspectives with Saul and Jolene
This is a subject that is very close to every GM. Saul who has been a GM for over 40 years has gotten things once or twice over those years from rules, to setting GMs can make mistakes. Usually these mistakes do not have any long lasting effect on a long running game.
When Jolene told Saul about this topic from a Reddit topic, Saul starting thinking of mistakes he has made over the years and most were pretty small but couple affected the players characters significantly. The Reddit poster had a question about approaching a GM about a ruling mistake by his GM. He was a new player, this was his first campaign but it had been going on for a year. With a new level came a new spell and a bad ruling by the GM that hobbled the player's character. He wanted to know how to approach his GM without making him mad and getting kicked out of the group.
Saul and Jolene decided to record an episode to this subject. Listen to Saul's biggest GMing mistakes by his own admission and how he dealt with the problem.
